Toll the dead 5e – How to Use
To use Toll the dead 5e spell just point your opponent. The target should be within the range of 60 feet (18 meters) from you. Now point at the target. As soon as you cast the spell the air around your target is filled with dolorous bell for a short time.
The target must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw or take 1d8 necrotic damage. If the target is missing any of its hit points, it instead takes 1d12 necrotic damage. The spell’s damage increases by one die when you reach the 5th level (2d8 or 2d12), 11th level (3d8 or 3d12), and 17th level (4d8 or 4d12).
There is a loss of life force in the target or creature and the power of the spell grows as the caster becomes more and more powerful. The spell causes greater damage to injured creatures as compared to healthy creatures.
The casting time of this spell is 1 action and the range of attack is 60 feet. The duration of the spell is instantaneous and the saving throw is wisdom. The level of this Dnd spell is cantrip, that is level 0. You do not have to perform any separate rituals to use this spell.
